In patient rooms of hospitals, clinics and wellness centres, a
a bed back wall provides safety, but often also great challenge. The trend
is that pipes should no longer be visible. At the same time, the
regulations regarding the pipes and gases incorporated in these
back walls have become increasingly complex. This is why INTOS only supplies
bed rear walls with total CE marking. As a result, we guarantee the
full quality and bear the responsibility for the administration.
In addition to the original NEN standards (NEN-EN-ISO 7396-1 2016 and NEN-EN-ISO 1119 with supplementary NTA 8097) for bed rear walls, a CE mark has been developed for the entire product including pipes and connections. Only certified suppliers for electrics and gases are allowed to work on this. The wall must also be extra strong, so that if it is damaged, there is no damage to the piping behind it. Because of this marking, instead of the hospital, INTOS bears responsibility for the entire bed rear wall.
Our devised walls are fully customisable to the requirements of each client and architect involved. In addition to the fixed components, including the fire-resistant indoor, easily accessible gas and electricity connections, integrated lighting and door system, almost anything can be customised. From dimensions, to colour and materials. Because a new certification has to take place after making adjustments, we actively advise in such customisations to keep the CE marking in order.
We build and fully assemble all rear walls in our workshop, including gases and electricity. This guarantees efficient working methods and better working conditions for the INTOS employees working on them. The big advantage of this for the client is that our rear walls are assembled on site in 30 per cent less time than usual.
When delivering a bed rear wall, INTOS also takes care of the associated administration. In a file, based on a serial number, all parts are reported, such as bleed reports, gas lines and specific lighting. Does a component need to be replaced over time? Then this makes it possible to find out the history of the part precisely and quickly, making maintenance jobs easier to pick up and carry out.
